Job Description
- We are seeking a highly detailed and financially minded CPA with five years or more experience to join our firm in the beautiful Flathead Valley. The primary responsibility is the preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and gain exposure to various accounting and financial planning activities, including reviews and financial statement preparation.
- Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships.
- Financial Reporting: Summarise and prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Accounting Integrity: Record, verify, consolidate, and enter transactions to maintain the integrity of accounting and tax information.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse complex financial and tax reports and records.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, prepare trial balances, and reconcile entries.
- Journal Entries: Make journal entries for financial transactions.
- Software Proficiency: Utilise QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Deadline Management: Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
- CPA with a minimum of five years of experience.
- Experience in preparing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
- Proficient in using accounting tools such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to work closely with partners and handle multiple tasks.
