SummaryAs a Development Engineer specializing in Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for the development, design, and integration of components and tooling for medical ultrasound transducers and their manufacturing processes. Location Requirement:The candidate must be local and able to work onsite up to 5 days a week, with occasional remote work possible. Roles & Responsibilities
Design, validate, optimize, and integrate components and tooling related to medical ultrasound transducers.
Focus on user and business needs, compliance, quality, and cost during the development process.
Create high-level and detailed designs that meet product and clients reference architecture requirements.
Combine existing and new components into functional medical ultrasound transducers and manufacturing processes.
Finalize designs, write verification plans, and conduct tests to ensure quality.
Collaborate with R&D, Product Industrialization, and Operations teams to develop new and improve existing manufacturing processes.
Provide input for project planning, create personal schedules, and report progress methodically.
Ensure documentation follows the provided templates from I2M processes.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant professional engineering experience.
Knowledge in designing mechanical constructions in plastic and/or metal, with an understanding of mass manufacturability (mold/assembly tooling design).
Proficient in developing engineering concepts and prototypes.
Experience with SolidWorks and tolerance analysis.
Ability to complete detailed MCAD designs and drawings.
Proficient in applying GD&T.
Experience with FEA for structural and thermal simulations.
Experience in CNC machining or CNC part design.
Experience with injection molding or injection molded part design.
Mechanical aptitude evidenced by hands-on experience (e.g., working on cars, tractors, bikes).
Experience in documenting test plans, reports, and technical reviews.
Experience in metrology and hands-on failure analysis related to design or manufacturing.
