CVR is looking for a professional, well-organized, compassionate individual with great attention to detail to serve as a Temporary Leasing / Rental Specialist. The ideal candidate will have flexible availability as the required work may have peaks and valleys. The services provided assist low-income families and individuals which may include the elderly or disabled. Assistance will include helping families complete processes related to eligibility, redetermination, and lease renewals for the Housing Choice Voucher program.

HCV Rental specialist, Leasing specialist

This position performs various Housing Choice Voucher program activities including, but not limited to:

Duties:

• Process Housing Assistance Payment contracts.
• Reviewing documentation with attention to detail.
• Utilize computer programs to prepare correspondence and reports, requesting verification documents from landlords.
• Candidates must show a high level of customer service with regard to emails, calls, text messages, etc.
• reviews RTAs
• conducts rent reasonableness and income affordability

Qualifications:

• Candidates must meet daily and weekly goals with a high level of quality and accuracy.
• Candidates must be able to use a computer with Internet and Microsoft Suite, be organized.
• Show proper time management skills
• Take direction from supervisors
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills
• Must be able to demonstrated show strong teamwork and the ability to work alone.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Case management: 1 year (Preferred)
• Housing Choice Voucher or other affordable housing: 2 years (Preferred)
• Banking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Property leasing: 1 year (Preferred)
