Role & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Fulfillment and Quality Control Lead to oversee the printing, packing, and quality assurance processes in our operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong leadership skills, and have a keen eye for accuracy. This role is critical in ensuring that customers receive their orders promptly and accurately.

  • Manage the printing of incoming orders and associated packing lists.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely printing and availability of packing materials.
  • Prioritize tasks based on order urgency and shipping deadlines.
  • Implement efficient systems for organizing incoming orders in the fulfillment area.
  • Work closely with the fulfillment team to allocate orders for packing based on priority and availability of inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of packed orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Check items against packing lists and customer specifications to verify correctness.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in packed orders promptly.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and improve overall efficiency.
  • Lead and motivate the fulfillment team to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on proper packing procedures and quality standards.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate order fulfillment activities.
  • Report any issues or concerns related to fulfillment operations to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Solicit feedback from team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Assist the Production Manager and Assistant Supervisor when needed.
  • Includes, but not limited to, material handling, shipment prep, quality check of customer product, and cleanup/set up or work stations.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is often preferred, although relevant experience can also be considered in place of formal education.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality systems or quality systems implementation is typically desired. This can include experience in quality control, quality assurance, process improvement, or related roles.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Previous experience in a fulfillment or warehouse environment, with a focus on quality control.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for order management and quality control.
  • Expertly communicate with others, including workers with disabilities, and promote the company's mission, values, and goals. Demonstrating respect, empathy, and inclusivity in interactions.
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a dynamic work environment. The ability to adjust to shifting priorities and handle unexpected challenges.
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and reliability in all job-related responsibilities. Upholding ethical standards and a commitment to quality and safety.

Physical Demands and Environmental Demands

  • The role may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving around the work area.
  • The ability to lift and carry objects of varying weights is often necessary. This can range from light items to heavier objects, potentially up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus, may be necessary for inspecting and observing details.
  • Depending on the work location, exposure to different temperatures, humidity levels, or weather conditions may occur.
