Cyber-Seniors:Connecting Generations Inc. is Hiring a Community Program Manager (Berkshire County, MA) Near Berkshire, MA

Cyber-Seniors is a national 501c3 whose mission is to bridge the digital divide and connect generations using technology. We envision a world with digital equity, where everyone has access to technology and the skills to use it.

Cyber-Seniors provides tech training for older adults using an intergenerational volunteer model. Teens and young adults are trained as digital mentors through lessons and learning activities. Senior citizens are provided with technology training and partnered with volunteer mentors, enabling them to practice what they have learnt. The results are enriched intergenerational communities that keep both older adults and young people socially connected and engaged.

Job Description:

To act as lead technology trainer, while managing and overseeing the delivery of all Cyber-Seniors programs in Berkshire County and other designated locations.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include the following:

1. Directly deliver the Cyber-Seniors program at several locations throughout Berkshire County while assisting in the expansion to other locations. This includes:

  • Delivering weekly group tech training lessons for older adults
  • Delivering individual training to those who are new to technology (by appointment)
  • Managing volunteers to assist with group lessons
  • Taking attendance and administering surveys during each group session
  • Ensuring proper room set-up and tear down at the beginning and end of each session
  • NOTE: Lesson preparation is not a requirement of this position. All lesson content will be provided.

2. Oversee and manage the delivery of all Cyber-Seniors programs in Berkshire County and other designated locations. This includes:

  • Hire, train and manage additional trainers if needed
  • Identify online community resources that would be of value to program participants and work with community organizations to maximise accessibility of these resources
  • Carry-out regular reviews of Community Website to ensure accuracy and provide feedback on required updates to Cyber-Senior’s Administrator
  • Meet monthly with Cyber-Senior’s Program Director to strategies on lesson plans and program curriculum
  • Report directly to Cyber-Senior’s Managing Director to ensure Key Performance Indicators are being met, that there is a high degree of satisfaction amongst program participants and community partners and that the virtual components of the program are meeting the needs of program participants
  • Ensure operational efficiency and streamlined processes are in place in the delivery of the program
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners in the community
  • Collaborate with community partners to promote awareness of the program

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma.
  • Driver’s license, vehicle and ability to travel.
  • Prior presentation or teaching experience, an asset.
  • Prior management experience.
  • Prior work experience with a non-profit, an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
