What You Will Be DoingThis position will focus on the production, testing and quality assurance of hot mix asphalt (HMA) and those materials and equipment used to produce hot mix asphalt (HMA). Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and managing relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Motivating and mentoring employees
- Enforcing company safety protocol
- Developing and overseeing budget
- Working with plant employees in production and distribution of product
- Producing production logs and maintenance logs
- Checking all liquid inventories daily and ordering materials that are running low
- Conducting a daily safety walk at the beginning of each shift to ensure employee safety
- Maintaining communication with Managers, Superintendents, Paving Foreman etc.
- Other tasks as needed in support of overall plant operations
- Prior experience with DOT projects
- Prior experience in a leadership position overseeing direct reports and inventory
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards
- Prior experience with management of inventory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Willingness to travel domestically to visit additional plant locations as needed
- Base salary 85-100k (based on experience)
