Who You AreExperience as a Buyer
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Travel required up to 25% We are a premier employer in the Belgrade, MT area.
B.S Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or equivalent experience
What You Will Be DoingDetermine source of supply by evaluating best price, availability, quality, and delivery
Create purchase orders per requirements from MRP reports, re-order repoints and purchase order requisitions
Follow-up and expedite orders
Analyze and calculate the costs of procurement and suggest methods for cost savings and or category improvement
Actively research and develop new sources of supply and/or recommend possible substitute materials and/or suppliers
Work daily with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Shipping and Operations Perform cost analysis and competitive sourcing events and head-to-head comparisons
Evaluate and analyze vendor quotations and services
Provide precise and interactive communication to business unit stakeholders
Craft negotiation strategies and close contracts with optimal prices, terms, stocking programs, payment terms, transportation charges, return policies, etc.
Assist in product development timelines to ensure an on-time production and delivery
Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge of all product and service needs as well as stay apprised of industry developments
