Responsibilities
- Review Take-offs
- Contact subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty services for quotes
- Works with Project Managers, Engineering, Purchasing, and Management as needed in the preparation and final evaluation of bids
- Provides improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs
- 5 years as an estimator working on Civil Construction Projects
- Federal Government and/or Public Works project estimating experience required
- HARD BID Estimating and Negotiated Bid Experience
- Knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid (or similar estimating software)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical/drug test/background check
- Site Grading, Asphalt, Concrete, Underground Utilities, Public Works, Excavating, Site Development, Earthwork, Water & Sewer Mains, Culverts, Manholes
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Salary: $90 - $130K Base (Negotiable based on years of experience)
