Position Overview:As a Civil Estimator specializing in Paving and Utilities, you will play a crucial role in calculating and estimating costs for various civil construction projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the materials, labor, and equipment needed for paving and utility work, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and materials needed for paving and utility construction
- Utilize HCSS software to create detailed cost estimates for projects
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information and ensure accurate estimates
- Conduct site visits to assess project locations and identify potential challenges or opportunities for cost savings
- Analyze and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes to determine the most cost-effective options
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and present estimates to clients
- Monitor and track project costs and provide regular updates to project managers
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in paving and utility construction methods and materials
- At least 3 years of experience in civil estimating, specifically in paving and utilities
- Proficiency in HCSS software
- Extensive knowledge of asphalt paving, underground utilities, wet utilities, and sitework
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)
