Position OverviewThis person will serve as a Corporate Controller overseeing all financial aspects of the company's scrap metal business. This includes developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and monitoring revenue and costs to drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's scrap metal business goals
- Manage and monitor budgets, ensuring that spending stays within approved limits
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and SOX
- Oversee the processing and reporting of revenue and costs related to scrap metal sales
- Analyze actual expenditure and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision making for the scrap metal business
- Manage and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Coordinate and oversee external audits related to scrap metal operations
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize recycling processes and increase revenue streams
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in scrap metal operations or manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and SOX
- Strong budgeting and financial analysis skills
- Experience with revenue and cost management in the scrap metal industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of recycling processes and best practices is a plus
- CPA certification is a plus
