We are a global automotive supplier of pump, valvetrain, transmission and electric drive components and systems. Due to company growth, we are adding a skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to the team. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, proven experience in manufacturing within automotive industry, and strong knowledge of Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, Statistical Process, and Machine Controls.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design electrical schematics, controls, safety, power circuits, pneumatic systems, BOM, panel layouts for custom automation systems
• Conduct equipment diagnostics and design using PLC and HMI
• Identify, analyze, and resolve problems, Assist with FMEAs and Control plans
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug automation systems, Conduct validations, including IQ, OQ, and PQ
• Develop and implement work instructions and SOPs

What You Need for this Position

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical)
• 3 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environment
• Allen-Bradley PLC Systems required, Experience with ignition or other middleware
• LabView experience preferred
• SQL data management
• Strong ability to read and comprehend complex work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals
• Strong working knowledge of Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, Statistical Process, Machine Controls
• ISO 14001/TS 16949 familiarity
• AutoCAD or other drafting software knowledge
