CyberCoders is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Los Angeles, CA
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for electrical components and labor
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements
- Create detailed bid proposals and submit them within specified deadlines
- Conduct thorough material take-offs and pricing for electrical materials
- Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities in bids
- Review and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure the most cost-effective options are selected
- Maintain accurate records of all bid documents and correspondence
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary
- Participate in post-bid meetings to review and analyze project outcomes
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the industrial or commercial construction industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Solid understanding of bid processes and procedures
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- Professional certifications (e.g. CPE, CDT) a plus
