CyberCoders is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Los Angeles, CA

Position: Electrical EstimatorThe Electrical Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with electrical projects and bids. This role will play a crucial part in the success of industrial and commercial construction projects by ensuring that bids are competitive and accurately reflect project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for electrical components and labor
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements
  • Create detailed bid proposals and submit them within specified deadlines
  • Conduct thorough material take-offs and pricing for electrical materials
  • Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities in bids
  • Review and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure the most cost-effective options are selected
  • Maintain accurate records of all bid documents and correspondence
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary
  • Participate in post-bid meetings to review and analyze project outcomes
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the industrial or commercial construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Solid understanding of bid processes and procedures
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CPE, CDT) a plus
