Location: Elkhart, Indiana
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00 pm
Position OverviewThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery used in manufacturing processes. They must have a strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, as well as the ability to ensure quality control and meet production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work Either independently or with an engineering group to develop programs, set tooling, and operate machinery.
- Program, set up, and operate servo-driven Brown & Sharpe screw machines.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, and keep the floors clean.
- Maintain and operate screw machines.
- Assist with maintenance on Brown and Sharpe machines as needed
- Set up, operate and program machinery according to production needs
- Conduct quality control checks and testing on produced materials
- Inspect and maintain machinery to ensure proper functioning
- High School Education or Equivalent
- Experience in machine operation, ideally with Brown and Sharpe machines
- A thorough understanding of quality control standards and testing.
- Good understanding of safety regulations.
- Strong math skills are preferred.
