What You Will Be DoingOur Machine Vision Application Engineer combines the role of a Software and Vision Engineering along with high end Application Engineering.
You will first and foremost lead the development of customized turnkey 2D vision & ID solutions for a wide range of industries. These solutions will combine a wide range of technologies including electro-mechanical, database, software, database, optics and lighting.
The top focus for this role is focused on developing software that is used to integrate robotics, PLCs/HMIs, machine vision and motion control systems. With over 80% of our projects being custom R&D projects, no two days will be a like!
In addition you will serve as a high level Application Engineer, traveling to custom sites for complex installs, assisting with highly technical trainings and even maintenance and troubleshooting.

Please be advised this role requires up to 20% domestic and international travelWhat You Need For This Position5 or more years of experience developing software applications or machine vision systems utilizing C#, in addition to:

• A.S or B.S. in an Engineering discipline
• Design, build and support software library interfaces to common vision tools
• Basic PLC/HMI understanding
• Reading electrical/mechanical drawings
• Excellent Communication
• Troubleshooting

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With:

• Advanced Degree
• Ability to define sensors, lighting and optics for solving machine vision problems
• Field/Service/Application Engineering experience
• Preventative Maintenance
• Basic electrical skills
• Basic mechanical skills
