The Maintenance Technician position is a hands-on role with 2nd & 3rd shift hours that requires both technical and mechanical skills to perform repairs, installations, and troubleshooting tasks of various components, systems, and equipment. The successful candidate must possess excellent problem solving and communication skills, and have a commitment to safety and customer service.
Location: Watertown WI
Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the maintenance team whose primary responsibility is to diagnose and repair equipment, and perform preventative maintenance. The Technician will also be responsible for making modifications and improvements to the facility and equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment including troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, motors, and other associated components.
• Understand and operate PLC and other automation systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
• Perform welding, cutting, metal fabrication, building repairs, cement and tile work.
• Perform safety inspections, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of maintenance technician experience
• Knowledge of PLC, electrical knowledge, power tools, hand tools, welding, aerial lifts, cutting equipment, metal fabrication, building repairs, cement and tile work
• Ability to pass the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley, FSMA, HARPC, GMP, and HACCP certifications
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
