Position Overview: The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the manufacturing engineering department. The individual will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of operational standards and procedures to ensure efficient and effective production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the manufacturing engineering team to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
- Oversee the design and development of new products and assemblies.
- Develop and maintain engineering guidelines, procedures, and processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting to aid in decision making.
- Act as a liaison between the production, engineering, and management teams.
- Monitor the performance of the manufacturing engineering team and take corrective action as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance to the team to ensure that products are produced to specifications.
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and surface mount technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using computer software for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team.
