Location: New Berlin, WI
Salary: $90-140k DOE
Position Overview
The Plant Engineer will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the manufacturing processes and equipment within a food manufacturing plant. This role will require strong project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and knowledge of AutoCAD, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiency and productivity
- Create and maintain detailed project plans and timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations of existing processes to identify areas for improvement
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment and processes
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Train and mentor production staff on lean manufacturing principles
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a project management role
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
- In-depth understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with process design and optimization
