Position Overview: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various construction projects, primarily in the fields of road works, heavy civil, concrete, utilities, and retail and education projects. You will be involved in all stages of the project, from initial design to final completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and engineers, to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate project activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage project progress and identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates on project status.
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors to develop project designs and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Oversee project procurement and manage vendor relationships.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any concerns.
- Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in heavy civil and road works projects.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, HecRAS, and other relevant software.
- Experience with design build projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations and safety standards.
