CyberCoders is Hiring a Purchasing Agent -Construction Near Pomona, CA
Position OverviewThe Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, supplies, and equipment needed for construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement and purchasing processes, as well as knowledge of the wood and lumber industry. The Purchasing Agent will work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines. Key Responsibilities
Source and evaluate potential vendors for wood and lumber materials.
Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure the best value for the company.
Maintain accurate records of all purchases and contracts.
Track inventory levels and order materials as needed.
Collaborate with project managers to determine purchasing needs for upcoming projects.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders and deliveries.
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
Qualifications
2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of the wood and lumber industry.
Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office.
