Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential suppliers for Division 8 products, specifically Hollow Metal Doors, Frames, and Hardware.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive and cost-effective pricing for all products.
- Maintain relationships with current suppliers and continuously evaluate their performance and pricing.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure adequate stock of all necessary Hollow Metal products.
- Work closely with other departments, such as Sales and Operations, to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Track and manage purchase orders, invoices, and payments to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses related to Hollow Metal products.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, as well as legal and ethical guidelines, in all purchasing activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
- Working knowledge of Division 8 products, specifically Hollow Metal Doors, Frames, and Hardware, is highly desired.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with purchasing software or systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cost-saving initiatives and strategies
