Salary: $75,000 - $95,000Founded in 1970 we are 110 employee metal forming manufacturer that supplies stamping & welded sub-assemblies to a variety of industries across the US. Over the past year we have placed a huge emphasis on revamping our engineering & quality departments to ensure that we continue to make top tier products as we serve the automotive & housing markets. We are targeting to hire a Quality Engineer with automotive manufacturing experience who will play a crucial role in ensuring production processes meet company & customer quality standards.

What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for continuous improvement activities to enhance quality system i.e.5S, Kaizen, lean etc
- Interface w/ engineering & production to ensure process capability
- Assist QM in establishing & improving quality management system
- Assist w/ internal audit program & develop training methods for quality dept
- Remain knowledgeable on latest inspection techniques, processes, & equipment
- Assist w/ determining gauging requirements
- PPAP
- Assist engineering changes to ensure quality requirements are met
- Assist in design of in-process drawings & tool design
- Maintain & review supplier performance & approval
- Bachelors in Engineering discipline is ideal
- PPAP
- Manufacturing & complex processing experience required
- 3 years as a quality engineer / inspector in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in quality engineering roles w/i automotive manufacturing industry ideal
- Proficient in quality tools i.e. statistical process control, root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis & measurement system analysis
