Title: Business Development Manager (Title can be flexible) Location: Remote But Needs to be Driving Distance to the Bay Area Compensation: $165,000-170,000 Base Commission Requirements: 5 Years of Experience in B2B Acquistion Sales Role Position OverviewWe are a small but rapidly growing telecommunications company headquartered in California. Due to our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Business Development and Sales Leader to join our remote-first team. We are looking for someone who has a network of relationships in the data centers and telecom industry. Reporting to the SVP of Sales and Marketing, this position will play a critical role in prospecting new business relationships, advising, clients, and negotiating contract terms to successful completion. An ideal candidate will have a track record of success on large, complex opportunities involving ultra-high network capacity, dark fiber, conduit and fiber construction sales. Responsible for the growth and acquisition of fiber-based services in a designated territory
Developing and executing detailed business plans designed to attain revenue targets and goals
Unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and other practices
Operating as the single point of contact and advocate for customers and is responsible for managing the entire sales cycle
Responsible for accurate forecasting and proper sales administration functions, including up-to-date CRM records
Working collaboratively with all other company resources as required to achieve sales goals
Qualifications
Demonstrated 5 years experience in B2B acquisition sales role, preferably in telecom services
Driving distance to the Bay Area (this position is remote but will require visiting clients onsite in the Bay Area.)
Instinctively comfortable with prospecting new business through research and networking
Hunter mentality and possesses a desire to sell to the client based on overall value
Highly customer focused
Possess a valid driver's license
Skilled in solution based or consultative based selling techniques and solution oriented sales

Knowledge of Salesforce
Effective network of relationships with Bay Area datacenter and technology companies
Experience with Microsoft suite of applications
