Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audits for clients in various industries, including but not limited to public accounting, government entities, nonprofits, and corporations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans to address potential areas of concern.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and transactions to identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Communicate audit findings to clients and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Mentor and train junior staff members on auditing procedures and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in auditing standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of audit procedures, regulations, and standards.
- Experience with employee benefits plans, risk assessments, and government audits is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Salary: $70K-$115K/yr
