Position: Senior EstimatorPosition Overview:The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in the construction process by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of projects. This individual will be responsible for managing the estimating process from start to finish, including reviewing project plans and specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing detailed cost breakdowns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans and specifications to understand scope of work and project requirements
• Collaborate with project team and clients to determine project budget and cost goals
• Conduct thorough and accurate material take-offs using On-Screen Take-Off software
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers and analyze proposals to ensure competitiveness and completeness
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals, including labor, materials, and equipment costs
• Present estimates to clients and negotiate project costs as needed
• Manage and maintain project cost data and historical cost information
• Stay current on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Construction Estimator
• Experience in a wide range of project types, including Healthcare, K-12, Hospitality, Retail, Commercial, Municipal, Industrial, and Recreation
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
• Proficiency in Estimating software, ideally On-Screen Take-Off and Timberline
• Experience using Building Connected is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience leading and mentoring junior estimators
