Senior Quality Assurance ManagerLocation: This role is Hybrid out Sunnyside, WA and will require relocation if not in state. Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality control and safety of our food and beverage production processes. The ideal candidate must possess the desire and ability to plan, organize, and direct quality assurance personnel and programs to assure that plant products defined product quality standards, as well as Federal, State, and local standards of product identity, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Also will be responsible for ensuring all products meet our high standards of quality and safety to protect our consumers and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities
- Plant Sanitation Oversight: Monitor and report on plant sanitation efforts, providing recommendations for improvements to management.
- Quality Program Implementation: Develop, implement, and audit in-plant quality programs, including GMPs, HACCP, weight control, master sanitation schedules, pest control, Appendix N, and sanitation. Recommend and drive enhancements as necessary.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to product safety and quality.
- Laboratory Management: Oversee the operation of the plant laboratory, recommending staffing levels, necessary equipment, and calibration needs for QA personnel.
- Procedure Adherence: Ensure adherence to laboratory procedures as outlined by Corporate Quality Department.
- Product Quality Control: Hold the authority to shut down production lines, reject ingredients or packaging materials, and halt the shipment of finished products in cases of serious non-compliance with company or regulatory standards. Have ultimate control over the release of products for sale.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular, comprehensive reports to management and Corporate Quality Personnel regarding quality issues and standards.
- Professional Relationship Management: Maintain professional relationships with plant management, customers, and vendors.
- Vendor and Customer Collaboration: Work closely with vendors and customers on product quality reports and audits.
- Initiative and Flexibility: Demonstrate a high degree of initiative and flexibility in addressing various challenges and responsibilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Plant Manager on R&D projects and other assignments as needed.
- Additional Assignments: Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Corporate Quality Director and Plant Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Dairy, Food Science or Science related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control and assurance in the food and beverage industry or sanitation
- 3-5 Years experience in a Leadership Position
- Strong knowledge of sanitation, food and beverage, and dairy manufacturing processes
- Experience with weight control, laboratory procedures, and product identity
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Nice to have: HACCP, Quality Assurance, GMPs, Food Safety, Audits, dairy products, product quality reports, computer-driven process controls, Leadership
