The Ideal Candidate Is a Self-motivated Engineer Who Is
- Interested in designing light frame wood structures or commercial buildings
- Experienced with Revit and Structural Modeling Software
- Experienced in some client management
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures from an accredited program is required
- Experience with Revit is required
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Familiar with common structural analysis software
- Familiar with International and Residential Building Codes
- Extensive design experience with wood, concrete, steel, and masonry - experience with post-tensioned concrete a plus
- Passionate about the art of engineering and self-motivated
- Ability to work in a team approach environment
- Willing to adapt to different project types and tasks on a daily basis
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- Previously passed the Professional Engineering examination is a plus
- Able to perform physical field work, including climbing ladders, performing visual observations from afar/rooftops/scaffolding/confined spaces, using precision instruments, etc.
- Experience: 3-4 years
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to stand, walk, sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel objects and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
