Position Overview: The Superintendent (High End Restaurant and Retail Construction) position is responsible for the successful execution of construction projects from initial bid prep and estimating to completion and closeout. This position involves extensive travel, and requires an individual with strong experience in big box retail, restaurants, and bid preparation and negotiation with subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedule and ensure that deadlines are met
• Prepare and review bids, contracts, and subcontracts to ensure accuracy
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors on projects and ensure compliance with contract specifications
• Prepare and review progress reports to ensure project milestones are being met
• Identify and resolve construction conflicts and disputes
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are being met
• Identify and anticipate potential problems and recommend solutions
• Ensure proper use of materials and labor on projects
• Prepare clear and accurate cost estimates for projects
• Ensure that all projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with experience in retail, restaurants, and big box retail
• Experience in bid preparation and negotiation with subcontractors
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with MS Office suite
• Willingness to travel as needed
