Position Overview: As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the tax filing and compliance process for our company. You will work closely with our finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, particularly for C Corporation and multi-state entities.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for our company
• Review financial data and reports to identify areas for tax savings or potential liabilities
• Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including C Corp requirements and multi-state tax obligations
• Prepare and maintain tax records and documentation
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any tax-related issues
• Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of C Corporation tax laws and regulations
• Experience with multi-state tax filings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
• Proficiency in tax software such as Axcess Tax and ProFX
• Knowledge of tax forms such as 5472, 5471, 1118, FBAR, and 8993
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
