We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. This individual will manage all aspects of our tax planning and preparation services and provide advice and expertise to our clients. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating the tax implications of complex financial transactions, researching and interpreting tax laws, and providing guidance for our clients on all tax-related matters. Additionally, you will be expected to manage staff and projects, review client work, and provide feedback as needed.
THIS ROLE IS HYBRID IN ROCHESTERKey Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax strategies that minimize our clients tax liabilities.
• Perform research and provide advice to clients on tax-related matters.
• Provide advice on a variety of tax issues, including manufacturing, construction, employee benefits plans, real estate, and more.
• Develop and manage tax-related projects.
• Review work completed by staff and provide feedback.
• Stay informed of changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required.
• At least 5 years of professional tax experience.
• Knowledge of tax preparation software, such as CCH Engagement.
• Superior analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience managing staff is a plus.
