Position Overview: The Tax Manager is responsible for providing guidance and direction to clients on tax compliance, planning, and consulting to ensure compliance by the laws and regulations of the local, state, and federal government. The Tax Manager is also responsible for delivering effective and timely tax services.
Key Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate complex tax laws in order to advise clients on the best tax strategies available.
• Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and not-for-profit entities.
• Perform technical research on tax issues, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure client tax compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of changing tax regulations and laws and present relevant information to management.
• Assist with tax planning and provide tax compliance services by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Review and analyze financial information to identify potential tax savings and develop effective tax management strategies.
• Conduct tax audits and provide support during IRS and state tax audits.
• Provide tax consulting services to clients in areas such as tax compliance, tax planning, and tax regulation.
• Develop and implement operational tax strategies for businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or other certifications preferred.
• 5 years of experience in Partnerships, S-Corps and C-corps , Not For Profit, or Government.
• Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret and explain complex tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and tax software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
