We are looking for a Manager to join our growing Tax Department. You'll be a decision maker on engagement issues and client matters.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of software and research subscriptions of the firm on a periodic basis
• Communication to the firm of important developments affecting the firm's client
• Act as a resource to staff on specific tax or accounting issues
• Liaise between the staff and engagement shareholder(s)
• Monitoring of deadlines and progress of engagement
• Proactive communication with clients and leading of client conferences in order to: expedite completion of projects; identify tax planning and consulting opportunities; strengthen client relationships; and assist clients in compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Review or performance of research
• Supervision and review of work prepared by staff
• Scheduling, planning, and review of engagements
• Technical review, oversight of complex phases, and problem resolution for all engagements, and communication to shareholder(s) of all important developments

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Valid CPA license in Wisconsin
• Member in good standing of the AICPA and WICPA
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of accounting and research programs
• Strong interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Bachelor's degree
