Position Overview: Tax ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team and manage all aspects of our tax compliance and planning. The ideal candidate has prior experience in public accounting or wealth management and is well-versed in trust & estate tax, partnership tax, taxation for High-Net Worth Individuals, and tax research. This role requires strong technical tax knowledge, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns, including individual, partnership, trust, and estate returns.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and provide timely advice to clients.
- Manage and review the work of staff.
- Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Perform tax research and provide guidance and advice to clients.
- Manage tax audits and review notices.
- Provide support in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master's in Accountancy or Tax is a plus!)
- Minimum of 6 years in public accounting and/or wealth management.
- Experience with Trust Tax is a huge plus!
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with tax software, such as GoSystem Tax RS and Microsoft Office.
