Position: Project Manager (Lending)

Job Summary :

Overview:
The Technology Initiative Manager will lead the program management function within the Information Services Group (ISG) and Institutional Client Group (ICG). This role involves driving end-to-end delivery on a Front-to-Back strategy for the Credit Risk service model with a focus on the syndicated loans portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders (Operations, Technology, Banking, Markets, Commercial Bank, TTS, Compliance, and Risk) to meet business and regulatory reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning and Execution:
• Develop and execute strategic roadmaps to drive Credit regulatory initiatives such as SNC (Shared National Credit) and WCR (Wholesale Credit Risk).
• Drive tactical and strategic planning to ensure corrective actions are met and documented.
• Identify and execute opportunities to drive operational efficiency, including data quality, completeness, lineage, and coverage.
• Regulatory Engagement:
• Attend regulatory meetings as an ISG representative and record meeting summaries and follow-up actions.
• Assist in high-priority regulatory ad hoc projects, structuring problems, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, and communicating project results.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across Risk types and Businesses to promote an integrated approach to regulatory relations.
• Provide functional support to drive continuous improvement across the Loans area.
• Support ICG business priorities, including Global Functions as needed.
• Change Management and Communication:
• Drive change management strategy through execution of strategic initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of changing industry trends, competition, and regulations.
• Ensure key results are well defined and clearly communicated with relevant stakeholders.

• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in SQL and Excel for data analysis.
• Experience with JIRA is a plus.
• Experience building PowerPoint decks for presentations.
• Project Management:
• Strong cross-functional project management experience, particularly in data projects.
• Ability to influence and drive projects proactively and assertively.
• Project Management certification preferred.
• Domain Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of Credit Risk/Commercial loan products and regulatory reporting requirements (Y-14, 2052a).
• Familiarity with governance and credit, wholesale, or commercial lending.

Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience in strategy development and execution related to regulatory projects.
• Strong business domain knowledge across Credit Risk/Commercial loan products.
• Experience with major consulting firms in senior engagement management roles.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including Agile project work.
• Demonstrates strategic thinking and ability to operationalize strategies.
• Robust problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and direct a team of knowledge professionals.
