- Inpatient Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights 7pm-7am, every other weekend, 2 major, 2 minor holidays Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN
- Multi-state Compact Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Must-Have:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment Job Description:
- Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice.
- Provides relationship-based patient-centered care that is culturally diverse and population-specific.
- Partners with patients and significant others through methods like bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
- Coordinates safe, quality patient care delivery and documentation, promoting an inclusive clinical environment.
- Demonstrates teamwork and fosters the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
- Participates in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives.
- Completes competency assessments and mandatory education. Serves as a preceptor/mentor for peers.
- Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in data collection to improve patient outcomes.
- Plans proactively for patient care across the continuum, collaborating to develop best practice protocols.
- Supports efficient use of resources and adheres to healthcare policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
