Responsibilities:
- Uses technical expertise in the development of machine installation and modification plans.
- Prepare, troubleshoot and confirm equipment at vendors and/or in lab, during project preparation, equipment runoff, and during project installation phase with focused activity to ensure safety and quality compliance standards are met.
- Performs online and offline PLC programming.
- Primary support for auxiliary equipment (robot teaching, handling device adjustment) for new die introduction.
- Periodic support to investigate and countermeasure mass production problems.
- Documentation of activities and handover to manufacturing plant.
- Reflection of project activities and launch activities after handover with focus on process kaizen to implement into future projects.
- Electronics & Controls Understanding.
- Press mechanics Understanding.
- Root cause analysis & c/m determination.
- Good communication skills to work in a team environment with internal and external customers.
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanics of materials.
- Fundamental knowledge of tooling and machining.
- Robot programming.
- Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems Understanding.
- 2 year Technical Degree 1 year heavy equipment and/or press experience or 3 years heavy equipment and/or press experience.
- 2 year Technical Degree 3 years heavy equipment and/or press experience.
- Ability to travel to support at other locations, domestic and international; 40% travel to other sites.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to perform functions
- Associates/Technical Degree.
