Cynet Systems is Hiring an Industrial Engineering Technician Near Fridley, MN
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assembly, set up, troubleshooting, testing and documentation of test results for testing articles (genset, sub-system, etc.).
- Collect prototype material, fabricate and build prototypes and validate engineering drawings.
- Provide feedback on assembly to engineers/stakeholders.
- Perform routine tests Collect, analyze and interpret data per approved test plan. Make necessary adjustments (equipment, instrumentation, etc.).
- Review data to find any abnormalities to ensure quality.
- Draft test reports to include findings, conclusions and recommendations.
- Review this with the Lead Technician or manager for approval.
- Present information to engineers/stakeholders.
- Independently troubleshoot and diagnose common test cell problems.
- Identify and participate in improvement projects (quality, safety, customer satisfaction) for the department/team.
- Participate in Kaizen Events as assigned.
- Follow correct safety procedures (i.e., tools, equipment, lifting, guards, protective equipment, etc.).
- Work safely and ensure the safety of others in the work area.
- Complete other work as assigned.
- Attention to detail Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task; accurately record and document technical work with basic computer programs.
- Quality-focused Operating knowledge of ISO and PGBU quality standards to ensure test and quality records meet these standards.
- Organization Skills Manage workload to maximize productivity and efficiency; accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
- Continuous improvement Ability to look for incremental improvements in work processes and results.
- Teamwork Cooperates willingly and works collaboratively toward solutions that benefit all involved parties and accomplish group objectives.
- Decision Making/Problem Solving Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason.
- Fabrication Skills General fabrication skills (Cutting, Grinding, Welding, Basic Machining).
- Minimum Associates technical degree in engineering or related field from an accredited program.
- Minimal experience required.
- Knowledge of diagnoses and test cell problems, maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Knowledge of quality and reliability principles.
- Basic understanding of engines, alternators, controls, and enclosures.
- Basic instrumentation skills and knowledge.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (communicating to internal and external customers, peers, stakeholders, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
