- Operates production equipment; responsible for manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products.
- Follows blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Direct and coordinate customer requests for service of equipment.
- Confer with supervisors and engineering personnel to resolve design and/or operational problems.
- Assess and resolve customer complaints.
- Assist with the commissioning activities where needed.
- Assist with on-floor testing of equipment where needed.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of service related documents.
- Create new documents as needed or requested.
- Keep management informed of current issues relating to customer satisfaction.
- Promote the service department to all customers while representing the company in a professional, productive and helpful manner.
- Analyze equipment problems and prepare technical reports for use by engineering and management.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
- Complete any Quality System records/activities required.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Typically reports to a supervisor.
- High school or equivalent (Required).
- A Bachelor or associate degree in an applicable discipline preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience: 2 years (Preferred).
- Skills Required: Mechanical & Computer Aptitude.
- Desired Skills: Test lab experience (equipment, methods, and instruments).
- Data Acquisition Systems experience (IMC DataWorks or LabView preferred). Programmable controller experience.
