Insurance Administrative Assistant
Part-time:
The Insurance Administrative Assistant will be responsible for data entry, customer service and collecting, tracking and reviewing documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to insurance agents and office staff.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Process and manage insurance policy applications, renewals, and endorsements.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars for agents.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Assist in data entry, record-keeping, and maintaining databases.
- Support marketing efforts by organizing promotional materials and events.
Qualifications/Requirements:Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Previous administrative or office experience
- Proficient in MS Office or other software applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Understanding of basic insurance terminology and processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is advantageous.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
Experience: Administrative skills are needed, Strong computer skills with experience in automated system required. Multitask, answer multiple phone lines.
Personal requirements: Requires an individual with strong organizational skills, who manages time and priorities well. Ability to be precise and accurate. Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Possess the ability to exercise critical thinking, problem solving. Must maintain a friendly attitude. Must work well independently as well as with the Agency team.
Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times, both in and out of the workplace. Must pass background check
Physical Requirement/Work Conditions:
*Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
*Must be able tp work in office environment
*Ability to read and write to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary.
*Manual keyboarding for repetitive tasks
*Sitting for extended periods of time
