Title: Private Equity Fund Accountant

Firm: Leading Private Equity Fund with >$1 billion aum

Hybrid work environment: Chicago 3x a week

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve quarterly Private Equity fund NAV reconciliations and financial statements with fund administrators
• Review and approve capital activities, such as complex capital calls, distribution allocations, and notices to investors
• Management accounting responsibilities
• Coordination of fund launches: review reporting requirements, coordinate with various internal and external parties/resources, negotiate lines of credit
• Address any ad-hoc requests from investors and investment team as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Accounting completed
• 4 years of Private Equity NAV accounting experience from an asset manager, public accounting firm, or fund administrator
• Experience with waterfall calculations, performance and incentive fees
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
• Analytical and proven problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Investran or similar accounting software experience
• CPA license is preferred but not necessary
