Cypress Creek Personnel is Hiring a Sales Manager (Valve) Near Houston, TX

Valve Manufacturer is seeking a sales manager to lead the overall sales of the company’s valve products. The applicant will spend ~50% of the time in outside sales activities with distributors and customers and the balance at corporate office in Northwest. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in valve industry sales and/or application engineering and possess excellent organization and communication skills. The primary job responsibility is outside sales, with secondary duties managing marketing and communications.

  1. Responsibilities:

Primary:

  1. Grow the overall sales revenue and distribution network of products.
  2. Engage and develop relationships with customers and distribution partners
  3. ~ 50% local, regional, or domestic travel.
  4. Understand the customers’ application requirements and identify appropriate flow control solutions (application engineering) 
  5. Handle customer inquiries and requests for quotation.
  6. Prepare estimates/quotations.
  7. Identify and develop new sales and market opportunities
  8. Provide sales support and training on products to distribution partners. 
  9. Manage and support the resolution of customer issues.

Secondary:

  1. Maintain product brochures
  2. Maintain website content
  3. Develop content for and execute digital marketing campaigns
  1. Qualifications:

    1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in valve sales and/or application engineering.
    2. An applicable 4 year degree is desired (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering)
    3. Knowledge of the industrial valve business and chemical process industries, including marketing, sales, customer applications, and regulatory requirements is highly desired.
    4. Ability to communicate well with customers, suppliers, and employees.
    5. Proficiency with office software and Quickbooks
