Cypress Employment Services, LLC is Hiring a Food Service Manager Near Fairfield, PA

Cypress Employment Services has a client in Fairfield PA in need of a Project Manager (Food Service Manager).

Pay will depend on education and experience.

$85-$95K

Scope of Work:

The Food Service Manager/APM has responsibility for management and administration of a multi-discipline workforce performing BOS which includes custodial, dining facilities operations, transportation, and logistics.

Responsibilities:

Work involves, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Supports the Program Manager and provides decision-making authority in the absence of the Program Manager.
  • Manages day to day operations of all PWS areas.
  • Oversees all food services operations.
  • Supports Transportation Dispatch function.
  • Creates and executes daily and project work plans.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a contract PWS.
  • Establishes procedures, applying methodology and enforcing support standards.
  • Develops and prepares quality assurance procedures.
  • Ensures required documentation is complete, current and properly filed.
  • Deals with customer service complaints and mitigation.
  • Develops and enforces contract safety standards.
  • Utilizes Government vehicle in support of service.
  • Follows up on suspense items to ensure timely completion.
  • Complete all training within required timeline.
  • Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
  • Consistently produces quality products and service.
  • Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Designated Food Service Manager certification with 5 years of specialized experience with the Army Food Service Program required.
  • 5 years of specialized industry experience in operating administrative or managerial activities for a combination of facilities supporting functions directly related to Government industrial operations.
  • Knowledge of Military (Tri – Service Food Code/TB Med 530) regulations and governing policies.
  • To meet contractual requirements, employees may be required to stay onsite for exercises or real-world events (e.g. 24-hour lockdown)
  • Must be able to start as early as 5:30am, Monday through Friday.
  • Must satisfactorily complete Food Service Medical Clearance (Tri Service Food Code – TB Med 530)
  • Must be capable of completing the certification training IAW the TB Med 530–Tri Service Food Code. Possess or be able to obtain ServSafe certification.
  • Must satisfactorily complete medical clearance requirements.
  • Must possess the ability to work in a team, or alone, and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Possess and demonstrate a courteous and positive attitude toward customers.
  • Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and operating instructions.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for successful completions of assigned tasks
  • Must possess a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
  • Must possess an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
  • Must possess an analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties 24/7. Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer, to include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds or more on a regular basis.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
