Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARYResponsible for all areas and personnel of Cypress Technologies related to testing of products and assemblies. Performs product test activities, directly contributing to meeting production demands. Works with and trains personnel on complex assemblies and test procedures. Applies comprehensive understanding of job to supervise and train technical personnel.

Basic Skills
- Ability to assemble, wire, test, and adjust precision units
- Ability to read and write at a high school level in the English language
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Exercise good judgment and problem solving
- Ability to use MS Office products
- Ability to use enterprise software
- Works well with others in team or work groups
- Ability to lead teams if necessary
- Ability to drive for results through team efforts
- Inspect printed circuit boards (PCB’s)
- Actively participates in Safety Program
- Adheres to all quality assurance procedures
- Works overtime as required (with minimal/short notice)
- Participates or leads process improvement activities
- Follows instruction of manager
- Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
- Manages, develops and maintains test documentation (procedures, travelers, checklists)
- Maintain files of tested products
- Develop and manage test processes to meet customers’ specifications
- Interview technical applicants as necessary to fill open roles
- Coordinate levels of training for direct reports
- Coordinate testing schedule to meet the demands of production and shipping schedule
- Schedule and authorize overtime as required for needs of the business
- Identifies issues with product quality and makes corrective recommendations to product design team
- Designs policies and procedures for product testing and ensures that testing meets established standards and budgets
- Develops test plan from NPD input and consults with the engineering technician
- Supervises the testing of new products
- Provides guidance and monitors job performance for direct reports
- Determines methods and procedures for projects and assignments in testing and inspection department
- Program IC’s
- Troubleshooting and repairing of products manufactured by Cypress Technologies Corporation
- Maintain files of tested products
- Maintain test equipment
- Network / PC support for all in-house systems
- Any other duties and responsibilities as needed
- High School diploma or GED equivalent and associate’s degree (two year) in electronics or equivalent formal training
- Minimum of three years of electronic test experience, one year of advanced troubleshooting experience, and two years manufacturing supervisory experience required
- Supervision, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline
- Measurement of performance to goals and standards
- An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations
- Systems and continuous improvement orientation
- Previous experience/knowledge of lean training and work environments
