Title: Senior Lead Data Modeler
Location: Linthicum Heights, MD
Interview onsite - Locals required Seeking a seasoned, highly skilled Senior Lead Data Modeler, who will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
Data Modeling:
Design and implement robust, scalable data models to support application development, analytics and business intelligence initiatives
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business processes and information needs.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and data flow diagrams
Have hands-on experience on Erwin data modeling tools
Ability to manage the change process through Bitbucket for modeling changes (RDBMS and NOSQL DB)
Develop database solutions by designing structures that represent business requirements and support system performance and scalability.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into data models, ensuring they are aligned with business goals and data governance standards
Provide support for the dev teams to present and write the business rule based queries
Validate data models and ensure their consistency, accuracy, and reliability through testing and validation processes.
Implement best practices for data Modeling and Management within AWS Data sources to optimize storage and computing costs.
Ensure all data modeling aligns with ETL Design & Integration:
Has a good understanding of the ETL frameworks that rely on the data models.
Hands-on experience in performing data analysis through JSON & Parquet file.
Ability to work the data models to be in sync with the ETL development process.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and implement solutions to meet business needs.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor, tune, and manage database performance to ensure efficient data loads and queries.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure all data practices comply with regulatory requirements and department policies.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect data within AWS services.
Hands-on experience in setting up data masking processes using tools and industry standard methods.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Lead and mentor junior data engineers and team members on Data usage best practices and technical challenges.
Collaborate with UI/API team, business analysts, and other stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
Ability to manage tasks in Jira that are assigned to them and work with a team to track the work according to deliverables.
