Job Description: Equipment Manager, DC Power FC (Women's Team)

Location: Washington, D.C.

Position Summary:

DC Power FC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Equipment Manager for our professional USL women’s team. The Equipment Manager will be responsible for the inventory, maintenance, and distribution of all team equipment. This role is crucial to ensuring that players and coaches have the necessary resources for training and matches, contributing to the overall efficiency and performance of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inventory, distribution, and maintenance of all team equipment, including uniforms, training gear, and match equipment.
  • Coordinate with coaching staff to ensure all equipment needs are met for training sessions, matches, and travel.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inventory levels, and order supplies as needed.
  • Prepare and organize equipment for home and away matches, ensuring all items are transported and set up efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Manage the setup and breakdown of training and match day equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of new equipment and gear.
  • Oversee the laundering and repair of team uniforms and gear.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of logistical arrangements for team travel.
  • Participate in community outreach programs and represent DC Power FC at public events.
  • Undertake ad hoc activities as required, contributing to the overall success and functionality of the team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as an equipment manager or in a similar role, preferably within a sports team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport heavy equipment.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
