D M Tool & Fab Inc is Hiring an Aerospace Tooling Layout Near Sterling, MI

Tooling Layout will process and break down all types of Aerospace and Defense tooling. Simple modeling & drawings will be required on certain tools.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CATIA Knowledge of models and drawings.
Responsible for creating complete breakdown for each department by using provided designs in 3D, and drawings. Coordinate design-related workload with designated Design Engineer.
Tooling Design
Drawing Release Overlays to review and changes and make updates to any in process work.
Creation of models/drawings for floor support. Follows drawing release and engineering change processes and capable of performing all clash/clearance checks necessary.
Design for Manufacturing
Follows applicable Design for Manufacturing standards for part creation.

BOM

Provides applicable support to the Design Engineer to create applicable Bill of Materials for projects.
Shop Floor Support
Assist shop floor with any assembly issues during prototype manufacturing
Problem Solving

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidate will have an extensive background Aerospace/Defense Tooling, entry level design skills is a plus. Ability to follow direction and work within predetermined timelines established within the project quote. High School Diploma required and with prior working knowledge of Catia V5 or NX11 software. Needs to be a self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time.
