Join our team at D. Wilson Construction Company as an Assistant Project Manager. In this role, you will assist the Project Manager with the daily administration of contract requirements from job start-up through closeout for preconstruction and during construction contracts in a team environment. You will demonstrate problem-solving ability in the field and develop positive relationships with clients, architects/engineers, and subcontractors. Responsibilities include document control for assigned projects and effective utilization of construction-based software such as Primavera, Sage, Procore, Bluebeam, etc. You will spend time in the field office to support production work on site, and the position may be based in the regional office and/or in the field. You will report directly to the Project Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a Construction-related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience, with at least 2 years of experience working with a Project Manager.
• Demonstrated experience in managing commercial projects that have increased in size.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Proficient with construction plans and specifications.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and construction-based software (such as Procore, Sage, Bluebeam, and LCP Tracker for prevailing wage recording).

Supplemental Qualifications:

• Experience and proficiency with Excel, formulas, and spreadsheet building.
• Experience with cost-loaded schedules in Primavera 6 (P6 Construction).
• Site Safety & Health responsibilities of enforcement.

Basic Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assist Project Manager with submittal and shop drawing review.
• Assist Project Manager with cost control and change management.
• Assist Project Manager with schedule management.
• Assist Project Manager with subcontractor/vendor management.
• Assist Project Manager with project accounts payable and sub/vendor payables.
• Assist Project Manager with owner’s contract administration.
• Assist Project Manager with client, architect/engineer, and subcontractor relations.
• Assist with supervision of safety and environmental policies and reporting.
• Assist project team with management of the quality control program in the field.
• Responsible for all project document management in the field and document archiving.
• Responsible for preparation of materials, minutes, and agendas for owner, architects, and contractor meetings.
• Responsible for the project closeout process.
• May assist the estimating team in project pursuits and bid day activities.
• May lead small projects under the supervision of the Project Manager.
