D4C Dental Brands is Hiring an Unified Communications Engineer Near Atlanta, GA

JOB SUMMARY:

The Unified Communications Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our communications infrastructure. As a technical expert on the team, this role contributes to projects, handle complex support issues, and share your knowledge across the team. This role demands strong expertise in network and telecommunications technologies and a desire to collaborate in a dynamic environment. This support is crucial to the delivery of the company’s mission of helping children achieve a lifetime of great oral health.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferred.

JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Unified Communications support or engineering role.

JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals (SDWAN, firewalls, and switches), VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323), QoS, and telephony systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within a UC environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team setting.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Phone deployment and administration.
  • Understanding of integrating UCaaS and CCaaS platforms.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Office Environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, as needed.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical Execution: Implement, configure, and maintain our unified communications solutions, including VoIP systems, video conferencing, presence/IM, and related network routing and switching infrastructure. Participate in and execute project tasks as directed.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for voice, video, and network-related issues within our UC environment. Isolate problems, implement solutions, and collaborate with other teams to ensure rapid issue resolution.
  • Maintenance and Optimization: Perform routine maintenance tasks, software updates, security patches, and capacity planning on the UC platform. Proactively optimize configurations to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Technical Knowledge Resource: Share expertise with the UC team to enhance overall technical capabilities. Assist with documentation, knowledge transfer, and training initiatives.
  • Vendor Engagement: Collaborate with vendors and external service providers on technical issues, new implementations, and support escalations.
  • Growth and Development: Stay informed about emerging UC technologies, best practices, and industry trends. Actively seek opportunities for professional development and certifications.
