DAE Systems is Hiring a Manual Machine Operator Near Claremont, NC

DAE Systems is a third generation family owned business located in Claremont, North Carolina. We have been in business since 1942 and we are a Great Place to Work certified company. We design, engineer, and manufacture air moving systems for the aerospace and defense industries.

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machine/CNC Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating tools and other components using a variety of equipment, such as a manual lathe, a drill press, a micrometer, and grinding machines. Follow established procedures for operating various conventional and CNC manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, grinding, threading to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools, or parts assemblies from raw materials.

Responsibilities:

· Perform tasks required to complete operations on manual and CNC machines during the production cycle.

· Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job.

· Set-up and operate manual machines to grind, cut, and polish materials.

· Load and unload parts into CNC machines.

· Start, stop, and feed machines.

· Mount fixtures into machines.

· Load control tapes and make specified control settings.

· Position work and check machine operation.

· Perform First Article inspections.

· Check parts using SPC techniques.

· Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Must be able to communicate in English.

· Must be able to read blueprints.

· Three (3) years’ experience in a machine shop environment.

· Two (3) years’ experience operating manual and CNC lathes and mills.

· Manual dexterity.
