Accounts Payable Associate
Hybrid schedule - downtown, paid parking
Monday thru Thursday in office and work from home on Friday.
Up to $28.00 an hour
Our client is an independent oil & gas company focused on offshore exploration and production. Our expertise is based upon acquiring assets in and around the Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico regions with a high emphasis on asset optimization, exploitation, and exploration.
The AP Associate is responsible for a variety of payable functions within the framework of company policies and procedures and in compliance of applicable regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for support of Accounts Payable activities including but not limited to:
- Process AFE and LOE invoices daily
- Manage full cycle AP including coding, data entry and filing
- Maintain accurate and up to date vendor profiles-request W9 forms
- Handle vendor calls and emails
- Scan Journal Entries vouchers
- Scan all invoices into Docvue for approval
- Research and resolve payment issues timely
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of in Accounts Payable
- High School Diploma; preferably an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Perform detailed work with speed and accuracy.
- Organize and prioritize a diverse and heavy workload consisting of many detailed, separate procedures and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with vendors, contractors, insurance agents, and internal staff.
- Communicate effectively, both orally in person and using a telephone and in writing.
- Recognize personal strengths and weaknesses and be proactive in self-development.
- Have a strong sense of integrity and the ability to deal with ethical situations effectively.
- Willingness to work a demanding and flexible schedule
