Our established employee-owned Managed Service Provider (MSP) client is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to solve complex problems for small business customers in the Fargo, ND area.

The primary responsibilities include the daily management, maintenance, configuration and documentation of customer infrastructure and network devices as well as network and server design for small business customers. You will implement infrastructure projects designed by Solution Architects.

Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, implement, and support Microsoft infrastructure for on-premise and cloud solutions using the latest technology and virtualization (O365, Azure)
• Experience with wired/wireless Network devices and connectivity
• Build, support, and maintain the customer networks, security systems, servers and storage infrastructure (both virtual and physical), and cloud platforms.
• Work with Solution Architects to design, consult, and implement technology solutions to SMB customers
• Provide proactive communication with customers to keep them informed on projects setting clear expectations
• Document all customer project to provide insight into the value provided

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of network, server, operating systems, storage and\or cloud support
• Experience working with Hyper-V / VMware virtualization
• Proven experience designing, maintaining, and managing enterprise storage and backup systems
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work as part of a team
• Experience with scripting and automation technologies
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 portfolio, Microsoft server, virtualization technologies, SAN, firewall technologies, firewall security policies, NAT’s and DMZ, network L2/L3 configurations, VoIP telephony, SSO, Federation, Multifactor Authentication, backup and recovery technologies, and archiving strategies.
